Snout, who was absent from the animated version, appears in a few panels in this adaptation.
The sequence at the Chinatown laundromat is shortened down so that Chip and Dale never actually go inside. Notably, however, an actual explanation for where Chip's hat came from is actually provided here: when he and Dale hide in a bucket of water outside the laundromat, Chip emerges wearing a fedora that apparently shrank in the wash, and Dale tells him it looks just like Detective Drake's hat.
