In the fall of 1989, the series was syndicated from September 18th. When the show moved to daily syndication, it premiered with a two-hour movie special, "To the Rescue", which was later broken up into five parts for the weekday run. Although it illustrates how the Rescue Rangers became a team, and was chronologically "first" in the fiction of the show, it ironically was not the first episode produced.
