Christine Cavanaugh (August 16, 1963 - December 22, 2014) was an American voice actress who had a distinctive speaking style and provided the voice for a large range of cartoon characters, including Gosalyn Mallard on Darkwing Duck.

Cavanaugh was born on August 16, 1963 to Waldo E. Sandberg and Rheta Mason Sandberg. When she was 15, her "mamma" Margaret Sandberg passed away and was welcomed into the home of Kirt and Linda Johnson, which she considered her parents for the rest of her life. She graduated from Layton High School in 1981. Where she attended Utah State University, then attended University of Hawaii where would meet her future husband. After college she moved to California to pursue her acting career. Christine married Kevin James Cavanaugh in 1985; they would later divorce. With her acting career started in 1988, and her big break coming in 1991 when she brought Gosalyn to life.

Besides her role as Goslayn, Cavanaugh was also known for voicing Chuckie Finster in the first seven seasons of Rugrats, Bunnie Rabbot on Sonic the Hedgehog, Oblina on Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and Dexter in the first two seasons of Dexter's Laboratory.

In 2001, Cavanaugh retired from voice acting and moved to be closer to her family. She passed away on December 22, 2014.[1]
