Chronoduck is the first new villain to debut in Boom! Studios' Darkwing Duck revival comics, introduced in the story "The Untimely Terror of the Time Turtle" by series creator Tad Stones. The self-proclaimed "Master of time and clockery", he is first seen in his civilian identity, trying to steal a pet turtle that Drake is encouraging Gosalyn to adopt, claiming only it is slow enough to "crawl between seconds and into the chronoplasm of time." Once he has the turtle, he transforms into Chronoduck and seemingly succeeds in killing Darkwing, but the Time Turtle shows Gosalyn a vision of the future that allows her to prevent it.
Chronoduck would appear again in "Orange is the New Purple", the opening story arc for the comic's short-lived continuation by Joe Books.
