Keno Don Hugo Rosa, better known simply as Don Rosa, is a comic book artist who wrote and drew Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck comic book stories from 1987 to 2006. He is a huge fan of Scrooge's creator, Carl Barks, and as such, almost all of his stories were set within the continuity of Barks' classic stories, with some of his stories even serving as sequels to Barks'. His most famous story was the 1991 twelve-issue arc The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Rosa also wrote the Pertwillaby Papers, and Captain Kentucky comic strips before working on Disney comics. He retired from writing comics following an eye surgery in 2008.
In 1990, Rosa wrote the script for the DuckTales comic story "Back in Time for a Dime", which ran in the Spring 1990 issue of DuckTales Magazine. It was notably the only Duck comic that Rosa wrote that he himself did not also illustrate, and the only one not set in the original Duck comic universe. He also wrote two early episodes of TaleSpin, "I Only Have Ice for You" and "It Came From Beneath the Sea Duck".
