Humphrey the Bear is a big, foolish, and opportunistic brown bear who first appeared in the 1951 Goofy cartoon Hold That Pose, and later co-starred in a few Donald Duck cartoons and even two solo cartoons of his own. Typically depicted as living in Brownstone National Park, Humphrey is frequently seen attempting to snatch food from or find shelter with the parks' visitors, often violating the park rules in the process. He is also known for running in place, with his feet seemingly going in all directions, whenever he panics.
